CLARKSVILLE, TENN. – Today at approx 2:30 pm the Clarksville Police Department responded to the intersection of Black Oak Cir and Black Oak Cir for a collision between a 14-year-old bicyclist and an SUV.  The child, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered injuries and was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville by LifeFlight.  The status of the child’s condition is unknown at this time. 

UPDATE:

Additional information is currently available regarding the crash yesterday at Black Oak Cir.

The driver of the involved SUV was cited and released for failure to provide proof of financial responsibility (no proof of insurance) and no other charges are expected. The teen is listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

Investigators with the Clarksville Police Department’s FACT team are currently on scene investigating the crash.
