No explosive device was discovered, and managers for the Ft Campbell Planet Fitness have made the decision to open and resume business as usual. The Clarksville Police Department does not dictate when a store should close, evacuate, or reoccupy; that is the sole decision of management for any given business. It appears that it was not a viable threat, but it is still an ongoing investigation and CPD is following up on possible leads. CLARKSVILLE, TENN. –
A bomb threat was reported at Planet Fitness on Ft Campbell Blvd after an individual messaged an employee regarding a threat. The call came in to 911 at approx 2:11 pm.
Clarksville Police, Fire Rescue, EMS, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad/EOD responded and established operations around the business. At this time an explosive device has not been located.
The Clarksville Police Department is asking the public to avoid the area until this situation can be cleared. There is no other information available for release at this time.
