The Clarksville Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will be participating in Operation Dry Water from July 3–5, a nationwide campaign focused on stopping impaired boating.
With heavy holiday traffic expected on Tennessee waterways, officers will be increasing education and enforcement efforts to help prevent alcohol- and drug-related boating incidents.
Officials remind everyone that operating a boat while impaired is illegal in Tennessee and carries the same 0.08% BAC limit as driving. They also encourage everyone on board to wear a life jacket and make responsible decisions before heading out on the water.
🚨 Boat sober. Wear your life jacket. Have a safe Independence Day weekend. 🇺🇸
